Jamaica's 60th anniversary of Independence was launched under the theme “Reigniting a nation of greatness”. Gloucester rose to the occasion and came out in force to support a range of cultural activities marking six decades of independence for all age groups. Some of the highlighted included the Service of Praise and Thanksgiving organised by the United Churches Network, Film nights organised by I-dentity and Carnival making workshops and the Independence Day celebration in the park organised by GLOSJAM. We wish to acknowledge the contributions of the official media partner, Gloucester FM. We could not allow this significant milestone in our island’s history to pass without celebrating in true Jamaican style. Thank you for your support – Out of Many, One People!
